Infinite Cooking Pot 2022-23

It all started in this small dusty studio in the picture. I rented it out from Camila Cañeque who passed away abruptly in 2024. She was very generous with her space and she gave me a more than reasonable price and plenty of hours to work in there. I hadn't seen her for some time when I got the news. I was shellshocked but in a cold way. Time passed, I began to miss her, this missing is still with me today. I believe the studio is now being used by Claudia Dubowski. I visited her there a couple of years ago. I was glad it was her who had it now.

Infinite Cooking Pot began as Grupo de Trabajo Independiente. I was prompted to begin, I have to say, by a few of my ex students at University who wanted to keep up with the training and development of their own works. So thanks to them, particularly to Irene G Ontiveros and Bastian Ponce and Claudia. The three of them became part of the research group for the performance that premiered in Mercat de les Flors years later, in 2025, Vanity Poverty Revenge. Irene and Bastian became then performers for the production. Claudia decided to take on a full time job as a teacher and told me after a lot of considering, she couldn't do it. Some of her materials remain in the work in some way. They were taken on as a starting point by Bea Fernández who became the third performer in the work.
