Smooth, shiny and seamless, Just Desire is like the finishing touches on the most inspiring consumer goods of our time. Like a high-end phone, a luxury perfume or the fastest car in the world - the Tesla Roadster - the performance offers itself as the object of our desire. The space is littered with golden chains from which hang multiple shiny garments: the dead carcasses of a boutique where an intimate portrait unravels in a turmoil of consumption of objects, others and self.
The fluid and relentless interaction between objects and performer creates a landscape that draws from mainstream imaginaries surrounding evil, identity, consumerism, sex, love and death but gradually seeps into places that are unfathomable. In this limitless cascade of action, singing and words, the boundaries between subject and collective desire begin to destabilise.

Just Desire traces an underlying performative norm in the pathological yearnings of today's society, bringing the confessional charisma of truth closer to the mechanisms of vanity, blends the old theories of performativity with the Theory of Luxury that vertebrates the subjectivity-workers and victimising coming-outs of the social age. It shows that the trump card of a thousand avant-gardes has become an auto-aesthetic fodder voraciously consumed by collectivities hungrier for motivation than for mobilisation; and that the autogenous, performing, high-performance subjectivity of the pop era is no longer gestated in organic recesses and carnal matrices: if anything it is managed; sometimes it is gesticulated. Suave, brillante, liso y continuo, Just Desire es como los acabados de los objetos de consumo más inspiradores de nuestro tiempo. Como un teléfono de gama alta, un perfume de lujo o como el coche más rápido del mundo - el Tesla Roadster -, la performance se nos ofrece como el objeto de nuestro deseo. En el espacio cuelgan cadenas doradas de las que penden múltiples prendas brillantes: las carcasas de una boutique en la que se construye un retrato íntimo en medio de la agitación del consumo de objetos, de los otros y de uno mismo.
La interacción fluida y constante entre objetos e intérprete crea una secuencia que toma de imaginarios mainstream en torno al mal, la identidad, el consumo, el sexo, el amor y la muerte, al mismo tiempo que se adentra en lugares insondables. En esta cascada inagotable de acción, palabra y canto, los límites del sujeto con el deseo colectivo se comienzan a desestabilizar.

Just Desire rastrea una norma performática subyacente en los anhelos patológicos de la sociedad actual, acercando el carisma confesional de la verdad a los mecanismos de la vanidad, conchaba inauditamente las viejas teorías la performatividad con la Teoría del Lujo que vertebra los obradores de subjetividad y los coming-outs victimarios de la era social. Demuestra que la baza de mil vanguardias se ha convertido en un pienso autoestético consumido con voracidad por colectividades más hambrientas de motivación que de movilización; y que la subjetividad autógena, performante y de alto rendimiento de la era pop ya no se gesta en recovecos orgánicos y matrices carnales: si acaso se gestiona; en ocasiones se gesticula.
